NEW YORK, April 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ --In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Zagat, the legendary restaurant discovery platform, will release its long-celebrated paperback guide for the first time since 2016. The 40th Anniversary edition, Zagat 2020 New York City Restaurants Guide will be available this November.
Since its inception in 1979, Zagat has been the most successful brand in restaurant discovery. To continue that legacy, Zagat has launched its 2020 survey, open for all restaurant enthusiasts to lend their personal opinions to shape this year's rankings of the best restaurants in New York City. Survey participants can visit survey.zagat.com from now through May 5th and share their opinions on hundreds of New York City restaurants, from all five boroughs, to be used for this year's special edition book.
"The Zagat book is such an important part of this iconic brand's history, bringing it back to commemorate the 40th anniversary honestly felt...mandatory," said Chris Stang, co-founder and chief executive officer, The Infatuation. "We're incredibly excited to put the printed guide back into the community's hands this fall, and to not only celebrate Zagat's rich history, but to set the table for the next 40 years."
In addition to its iconic. short, user-informed reviews this anniversary edition of the book will a decade-by-decade retrospective of New York City dining over the past 40 years. To reserve a copy of the book, the Zagat 2020 New York City Restaurants Guide is available for pre-order today.
In March 2018, The Infatuation acquired Zagat from Google with the goal of rebuilding the brand and returning it to its user-generated roots but centered around a new tech platform that will allow diners to rate and review restaurants effectively and responsibly, ultimately building a new platform on the trust that the brand has stood for the past 40 years.
