The competition, open to full-time students pursuing their undergraduate degrees, considered essay submissions from students across the U.S. Judges evaluated the essays based on creativity, relevance and knowledge of the chosen topic and a commitment to excellence. Candidates were required to showcase a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher and submit a letter of recommendation along with their essay.
